They perform as professional musicians since 1999. In 2001 they participate in the Almar Festival in La Habana City, a very competitive festival in which they won the 1st place. Since then Rice and Beans had obtained many awards.

In 2004 they record their first Demo: "A Child Again" who won the "Cuerda Viva award" for best light rock band. In 2005 they won the national popularity award given by radio "Sabarock" for the song "Kuva."

In 2007 they won the same award "Cuerda Viva" with their demo "Vegetational Protein," and again for best light rock band, whit that already accomplished they have the first opportunity to record with a Cuban label. In 2008 they won the "Cuerda Viva" award but this this time for most popular band, whit the demo "Arsenic Compound."

The "Cuerda Viva" awards like others are given for the "Instituto Cubano de Radio y Television."

Until these days they are still very popular in the Cuban radio charts, when they have earn the preference form their audience.

They are founders of the Rock Matancero Movement and the "Genero Nu Metal en la isla de Cuba."

Se desempenan como profesionales desde 1999. En el 2001 participan en el festival Alamar en la Ciudad de la Habana, festival competitivo unico en Cuba donde obtienen el 1er lugar. Desde entonces, Rice and Beans ha obtenido diversos premios. En el 2004 graban su primer demo: "A Child Again" con el que en el 2005 obtienen el premio el "Cuerda Viva" a la "Mejor Banda de Rock Ligero". Tambien en el 2005 ganan el 1er puesto de popularidad en el programa de radio 'Sabarock', a nivel nacional, con la cancion "Kuva" En el 2007 vuelven a ganar el premio "Cuerda Viva" con el demo: "Vegetational Protein", otra vez como "Mejor Banda de Rock Ligero" con el que obtienen grabar por primera vez con una disquera cubana, y tambien en el 2008, esta vez obtienen el premio "Cuerda Viva" como "Banda mas Popular" con el demo: "Arsenic Compound" Los premios "Cuerda Viva" como los otros, son premios a nivel nacional del Instituto Cubano de Radio y Television. Hasta el dia de hoy se mantienen fuertes en los rankings de popularidad de radio en Cuba, donde tienen la preferencia del publico. Tambien son fundadores del "Festival Atenas de la AHS", encabezando el movimiento de Rock Matancero y el GENERO NU METAL EN LA ISLA DE CUBA.
